Ninety Seconds

Love and heartbreak, tattoos and belly rings.

I'm in the mood for pain today — no idea why. So I decided to reread my favourite Diana!angst fics.

It's not often that I sympathise with Diana. In fact, I can probably count the times on one hand and have fingers to spare but here I did. Maybe it's because XFMaweezy made it so relatable.

Diana sitting at the bar hoping he wouldn't be there and then that heart-crushing moment when she realises he already is — and has been for a while. Something he never did when they were seeing each other. And he gets up and sings to Scully, openly and proud. They're right for each other and he and Diana were not. Heartbreaking.

Of course, they had to rub the pain in when they made Diana watch them in the alley! Cruel! I loved it.

But I really felt for Diana here. That is something I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. They nailed the despair and regret wonderfully. Now I feel bad for Diana — and I'm not sure I can deal with that.

They have a really interesting angle on their dynamic. I loved reading that!
