The Marriage Spectacular by cecily_sass

I was captivated right from the start and I loved the angst, the tension, and how cecily_sass built it up. Her talent to slowly build up the emotions was impressive and left me wanting to see what would happen next.

Mulder and Scully's disconnect in the beginning sets the stage for the ups and downs that lay ahead. And the miscommunication and misinterpretations increased the tension and made it even worse until the final revealed answers.

However, what especially stood out, in my opinion, was how cecily_sass wrote the characters: Beneath all the emotional tension of the plot, cecily_sass managed to capture their deep knowledge of each other beautifully. When it came down to it, they knew each other no matter how unsure they were about the state of their relationship. This part of the story resonated with me the most because their relationship was at the core of it all. cecily_sass captures the very essence of Mulder and Scully.

When I initially read this fic, I only planned to read the first chapter and return to it later. Instead, I ended up getting completely captivated and couldn't stop reading.

Did I mention how much I loved this fic? The emotions, the miscommunication, the different events, the way the characters were totally in character, and the emotional tension cecily_sass built up are all part of why this is an incredibly captivating story. cecily_sass has a real talent for storytelling, and I'm glad I came across this fantastic story that had me glued to my screen from beginning to end.
