Diana didn't die and while she's recovering, Mulder spends more and more time with her. Much to the chagrin of Scully who wonders if it's maybe time to move on. You can't really go wrong with any of her fics but this one stayed with me for quite a while. Miscommunication and its consequences. Wonderful read! I truly love this story. I can totally see this happening as well. Mulder is acting single-mindedly and does not notice how his actions may come across, Scully is retreating and just assuming things and both of them don't communicate. I felt a bit sorry for Jason at the end. He seemed like a great guy. But I didn't feel bad enough for him to not cheer for the MSR! Great story, as always. All that pent up emotion. And I liked that they decided to let them slow down in the end. That fit perfectly. Fox Mulder, a single dad, accompanies his son on his first day of school. He doesn't know that from this day on, their lives will never be the same. And another wonderful discovery in 2021 has been Felix Felicis by misslilli. Considering I'm not a kidfic reader it's an even bigger testament to this fic that I drop everything the moment an update is posted. I'm seriously hooked on this fic. It's wonderful. Misslilli is doing such a wonderful job with Mulder, Scully and the original characters. Their story is the perfect mix of sweetness, angst, fluff, suspense, kidfic but not like playing house, real life realities but also happy endings. I love little Felix andy parts of the story broke my heart for Felix but also for Scully. When I finished reading this story, my heart stopped when I realised it was over. I already missed them. The girls, little Felix and of course Mulder and Scully became incredibly real in Misslilli’s fic. I regularly reread this fic and it always, always makes me smile. It's so beautifully written. The angst, the passion and the tenderness, mixed with hope. Wonderful. I liked the second person pov. It's wonderful. I could see them existing in this place where time seems to stop and actions have no consequences in the real world. I loved how SisterSpooky1013 used the polar day and night as metaphors for time and reality. It made their internal debate visual. I loved the symbolic use of the never setting sun and the last day before the Antarctic winter started.
